Eligibility: The Cantor Exchange Incentive Promotion (“Promotion”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older at time of registration on www.cantorexchange.com (“Participants”). Registration is free. Employees, officers, directors, and representatives of Cantor Futures Exchange, L.P. (“Sponsor”), and its respective parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, and advertising/promotion agencies (collectively, “Released Parties”) and their immediate family members (parent, spouse, sibling or child and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in the same household of each, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate. Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Void where prohibited by law.

Promotion Period: Begins 10/6/09 at 9:00:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends 12/31/09 at 5:00:00 PM ET (“Promotion Period”).

 

Promotion consists of registration and an interactive virtual Trading Game, which demonstrates the functionality of the Cantor Futures Exchange trading site. The object of the Promotion is to allow Participants to practice virtual trading of “Contracts” based on projected domestic box office revenue in the first (4) weeks of a designated film’s release as described in the Domestic Box Office Receipt Contract Terms and Conditions and Cantor Future Exchange Rules and regulations (“Rules”), available at www.cantorexchange.com and incorporated herein by reference. This virtual game is skill-based. There is no purchase necessary to participate.  Becoming a Participant in the Promotion does not indicate that a Participant qualifies to become a Participant of the Cantor Futures Exchange. Cantor Futures Exchange’s servers for registration are the official Promotion time clock. Sponsor will have exclusive right to determine the projected domestic box office revenue used to value all Contracts that remain open in a Participant’s portfolio at the end of the Promotion Period.

 

 

1) During the Promotion Period, visit www.cantorexchange.com (the “Site”) and fully complete and submit the Participant Application (“Application”) according to the instructions provided. Participants will be required to provide their Social Security Number on the Application along with all other required fields in accordance with the instructions provided. Social Security Number and other required Participant information to be used for Application processing and solely for the purpose of administering this Promotion. Limit (1) Application per person and per email address during Promotion Period. Additional Applications received from any such person or email address after the first Application received from that person or email address will be void. Incomplete Applications and/or Applications containing inaccurate information will be void at Sponsor’s sole discretion. There is no financial obligation required to complete the Application. Completed Applications are subject to review and approval by Sponsor. The use of script, macro or any device to automate or subvert the Application and/or participation process is prohibited and all such Applications will be void. Applications may be submitted at any time prior to the end of the promotion.

 

2) Upon Application approval notification via email, Participants can set up a Movie Box Office Contracts “Practice Trading” Account (“Account”) at www.cantorexchange.com during the Promotion Period to participate. Decision to accept or reject an Application is at the discretion of Sponsor. Each Participant will receive a total of 10,000 Virtual Game Dollars in their Account to use for practice trading and Promotion participation. Virtual Game Dollars are not valid US currency, have no cash value and are used for entertainment purposes only on the Site. Limit (1) Account per person for the duration of the Promotion Period. Following account set up, Participants will be directed to the Movie Box Office Contracts “Practice Trading” page and follow the instructions provided to begin Movie Box Office Contracts (“Contracts”) virtual trading activity. Participants will be judged based on the receipts obtained from their trading activity (as described below). Each participant’s last trade activities that are completed and recorded by 12/31/09 at 5:00:00 PM ET will be used to tabulate his/her final profit, if any.

 

Following the end of the Promotion, Participants whose Account balances are in excess of 11,000 Virtual Game Dollars, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will receive $10. Participants will receive an additional $10 Account Deposit for each 1,000 Virtual Game Dollars in excess of 11,000 Virtual Game Dollars, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Limit a maximum of $100 Account Deposit per Participant during the Promotion Period. Participants will receive awarded prizes by electronic transfer to a U.S. bank or, where applicable, receive funds directly in their Cantor Exchange Account. Sponsor will monitor all trading activity for compliance with Cantor Future Exchange rules and regulations (“Rules”), available at www.cantorexchange.com and incorporated herein by reference. Any trade that, in the sole discretion of Sponsor, is in violation of these Official Rules or the Rules is void. No one Participant may receive more than $100 during the Promotion Period. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will determine Virtual Game Dollars tabulations and winners during the Promotion Period. All virtual trading activity must be accepted and acknowledged by the deadline date of the Promotion Period to be considered. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any and all Virtual Game Dollars, trading activities and profits of Participant who Sponsor believes has attempted to tamper with, influence or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Promotion.

 

Subject to a sufficient number of qualifying Participants, (1,000) prizes will be awarded to the participants with the highest portfolios: $10 Account Deposit (Approximate Retail Value ("ARV")=$10 each Account Deposit). Sponsor reserves the right to award fewer Account Deposits if, in its sole discretion, there is not a sufficient number of qualifying Participants or qualifying portfolio balances. In event that a tie between participants results in more than one participant having equal top portfolios, the qualifying Participant who has made the highest amount of trades for the amount of profit attained by the tied Participants will be declared the winner.In event that the aggregate Participant qualifying Account balances exceed 1,000 prizes, then prizes shall be awarded by order of first registration to determine the applicable winner(s).All federal, state and local taxes, and all other expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are Participants’ sole responsibility. Total maximum ARV of all prizes=$10,000. All prize details are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prizes will be awarded to the person named on the applicable Application (subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules). Participants will receive their Account Deposits within two weeks of the completion of the verification process.

 

Released Parties are not responsible for incomplete, inaccurate, garbled, late, lost, stolen, damaged, undelivered, delayed, or misdirected emails, Applications, Movie Box Office Contract trades or submissions; theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Applications or Movie Box Office Contract trade activity; trading or Virtual Game Dollars allocation errors; failures or malfunctions of phones, phonelines or telephone systems; interrupted or unavailable network, cable, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), server or other connections; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion on the Internet or for any technical problem, including but not limited to any injury or damage to Participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this Promotion; typographical or errors in these Official Rules, in any Promotion-related advertisements or other materials; the cancellation, suspension or preemption of any trading activity, trading activity tabulation or other problems or errors of any kind, whether mechanical, human, electronic, typographical, printing or otherwise, which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the tabulation of profits and/or Virtual Game Dollars, or the announcement of the winners. Virtual Game Dollars which are incorrectly or improperly allocated to an Account are void and will be forfeited.

 

Miscellaneous: Notransfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prize except by Sponsor, which reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate this Promotion (or any portion thereof) for any reason, including should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Promotion and, in the event of termination, at its discretion, award prizes for completed portions of the Promotion using the winner determination procedure outlined above, as determined by Sponsor, as of the event requiring such termination. By participating, Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that: 1) Released Parties and their designees and assigns may use (unless prohibited by law) such Participant’s name, city, and/or state of residence, photograph and/or likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for the purpose of posting their name, user name and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity without further compensation, permission or notification; and 2) Released Parties shall have no liability and will be held harmless for any liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury to Participant or any other person or death or damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize related thereto or participation in this Promotion. CAUTION: Any attempt to deliberately damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of this PROMOTION is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and/or other remedies (including attorneys’ fees) from any such person(s) responsible for the attempt to the fullest extent permitted by law.
